About the role:
We’ve recently had an internal movement, with one of our team members transferring stores and this has opened a new and exciting vacancy at our Prospect store location as a technician / automotive mechanic.
Our Prospect store is a close-knit team of three, soon to be four and have a lot of pride in the work that they do. In this full-time position you’ll play a key part in delivering a high-quality service in a role that is interesting and varied.
There are many career progression opportunities available to Technician’s at Pedders, and in fact in the past our Technician roles have proved to be a great breeding ground for talent, with many of our team members today having been involved in the technician space.
So, what’s the role about:
It’s a varied and interesting role, but some of the responsibilities include:

Wheel alignment
-
General repair of suspension and steering components

Brake repairs
-
Fault diagnosis
-
Moderate electrical installations including towbars

Liaising with customers

What we’re seeking from you:
-
Experience as a Mechanic and/or Brake Technician
-
Evidence of working across different vehicle makes and models
-
Full drivers’ licence with an ability to drive manual
-
Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
-
A team player who enjoys working as part of a team
-
Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (preferred)
-
Experience in basic wheel alignment (preferred)
