About the opportunity
Join our passionate engineering team to drive new product innovation and ensure the continued excellence of existing designs.
Based at our support office in Dandenong South, we are seeking a Senior Engineer who leads with excellence and mentors’ colleagues by leveraging cutting-edge technology and best practices to deliver impactful new product introductions aligned with our strategic goals.
In this role, you will champion engineering innovation, oversee project progress, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to continuously enhance our products and processes.
What are some of the responsibilities of the role
- Lead design and development of new products aligned with business strategy and market needs.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing existing designs and implementing product enhancements.
- Develop and expand internal engineering capabilities, including FEA, CAD, and vehicle testing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to implement innovative technologies and improve manufacturing processes.
- Manage technical documentation, product lifecycle processes, and quality compliance in accordance with ISO standards.
- Mentor and support the engineering team to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Report project progress and insights to key stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

What we’re seeking from you
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven product/system engineering experience in the automotive industry or a similar engineering environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and recognised processes such as APQP, PPAP, and DVP&R
- Experience collaborating effectively with suppliers to drive product innovation and quality improvements.
- Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) assessments, 3D modelling, and 2D drafting.
- Hands-on experience in vehicle dynamic assessments and technical reporting.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams to achieve project goals.
- Strong resource, workload, and time management capabilities to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Well-developed stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across teams and partners.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD and FEA tools to support product design and analysis.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and interpretation to support engineering decisions.
