The Opportunity
Due to the rapidly growing car market and the expansion of the Pedders product range, we are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to support our design and engineering team in the development of new and innovative products by performing key technician functions for vehicles and components that are undergoing design and development.
Based at our national support office in Dandenong South and reporting to the Lead Engineering Project Coordinator, you will be surrounded by a supportive team and will have the opportunity to directly impact the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Removal and fitment of key components for design and development.
- Assisting the team with the delivery of bringing our product to market
- Conducting physical measurement of components
- Maintenance of the workshop equipment and environment, ensuring our internal safety standards are met.
- Participation in weekly meetings to set team priorities and goals for the week.
- Assist the team in conducting performance testing of vehicles and components
- Participation in regular engineering reviews
- Develop your component design capabilities with a view to take on a leading design role over time

What You Bring To The Team
- Certificate 2 or 3 in Automotive highly regarded (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working within an Automotive business (with exposure to tools and mechanical systems preferred)
- Confidence and capability in using the Microsoft suite (Word/Excel/Outlook etc)
- A team player attitude; being open to collaboration, possessing a proactive approach to your work and being able to communicate effectively
- A strong commitment to workshop safety.
- A valid driver’s licence
- A curious mind; to learn, grow and develop
